CHIRON
STROMBONI DUO

Classical music & Improvised Music

Contemporary artistic creation

Born out of a close artistic complicity developed since 2016 as part of the Tangomotán Quartet, the Chiron–Stromboni duo brings together two unique artists in an original repertoire consisting exclusively of works created for them by leading figures in contemporary music.

Classically trained and seasoned on international stages, the two musicians present a chamber music style that is both intimate and exhilarating, drawing on diverse influences—India, Lebanon, Armenia, and South America—and shaped by composers such as Vincent Peirani, Vincent Ségal, Bachar Mar-Khalifé, Juanjo Mosalini, Stéphane Huchard, Noé Clerc, Sary Khalifé, and Lucas Henri. Combining interpretive precision, artistic curiosity, and contemporary creative work, this duo has established itself as an exceptional professional ensemble, where written tradition meets oral music in a contemporary and unique language.

FLEURS NOIRES

Contemporary tango
Contemporary artistic creation

The contemporary chamber orchestra Fleurs Noires builds on more than twenty years of exploration of contemporary tango, led by a Franco-Argentine all-female ensemble founded in 2003 by Veronica Votti, Luciana Jatuff, and Andrea Marsili. With five albums and numerous international tours to its credit, the ensemble has made a name for itself between Paris and Buenos Aires through a unique approach to the genre, one that is both rooted in Argentine tradition and open to contemporary compositions.

Built around the compositions of Andrea Marsili—a pianist, composer, Ph.D. in musicology, and specialist in the codes of tango—the Fleurs Noires ensemble explores the connections between traditional tango orchestras, electronic music, instrumental timbres, and spatialization of sound. The pieces combine the acoustic essence of tango with a pre-recorded virtual counterpart, creating a play of mirrors between instrumental gesture, contemporary composition, and sonic expansion.
